As a part of a larger partnership with the national charter school network TeamCFA, Think Joule was presented with the opportunity to conceptualize and develop a biannual network magazine. ConnectCFA serves as a channel of communication between a diverse network of school communities, and a key outreach tool for promoting and uniting a national charter school organization through a rich tapestry of images and stories.
Establishing themes, editorial mapping and the content framework, Think Joule defined the submission guidelines and developed a design template to reflect a professional, yet playful feeling that best represented the network.
Incorporating school colors, student contests, and relevant educational tips, resources and highlights, the magazine provides rich content for individual school communities, while providing a showcase for the non-profit at a national level.
Never satisfied with resting on past success, for the tenth issue, Think Joule challenged established conventions by re-imagining the design and introducing several new columns. Expanded content includes columns for parents, classroom activities for teachers, and a new guest column to discuss educational issues of national importance.
Connecting a Network
ConnectCFA enjoys a bi-annual circulation of 20,000+ pieces shared across the country and distributed to a diverse audience. It has developed into a critical recruitment and retention tool, as well as a beautiful and highly visual publication used to attract prospective students, leadership, and supporters.
