Kelley Roy, founder of ADX and Portland Made and queen of the Portland Maker movement, contacted Think Joule to develop the brand for her latest venture, a real estate matchmaking service to connect Portland makers with space.
Establishing the Brand
Using ADX and Portland Made's existing brand guidelines, we created an autonomous identity for the Industrial Grange that could operate independently yet coexist in a brand suite. The identity incorporates the bold, graphic elements of its sister brands, while also expressing the humble roots that inspired the name, resulting in a classic look and feel.
Mapping a Maker Ecosystem
With Kelley's target market savvy, we crafted a pitch deck that would appeal to potential members, both brokerage and occupants. We conceived of a highly visual style, creating an infographic map to leverage people, incubator spaces and shared manufacturing facilities and promote an interconnected web of spaces for makers and manufacturers.
