After undergoing major renovations and building an expansive double-height modern lobby to feature a spectacular 32-screen interactive media wall—the largest in downtown Portland—KOIN Tower wanted to officially introduce the stunning new Class-A offering.
Leveraging their tagline—Uniquely Portland, Uniquely Yours—Think Joule conceived of an open house event where attendees were invited to make KOIN Tower their own and experience unique Portland bites, local libations, custom chocolates and hand-roasted, artisanal coffee from their resident café. We wanted the event to reflect the uniqueness of the space from custom printed KOIN cocktail napkins to flower arrangements that reflected the lobby’s color palette.
In addition to debuting the building, KOIN Tower wanted to announce the newly formed Fountain District as part of a districtwide effort for revitalization. We crafted an HTML campaign to create awareness and invite people to attend to celebrate the improvements and renovations both in the building and the neighborhood.
We collaborated with building management to curate specialty content for the media wall to highlight before/after renovation photos and showcase stunning full screen takeovers to truly emphasize the impact of the installation. We also devised a custom hashtag so partygoers could broadcast their social media feeds directly to the media wall during the event and see themselves on the wall.
The Big Reveal
The two-hour event hosted well over 100 guests who delighted in the stunning new space, enjoying food and drink under the impressive interactive media wall. Ownership, building management and our partners at Mackenzie were delighted at the quality and turn out for this sophisticated and unique debut event.
