Strong, Smart & Bold

Last Saturday, August 20th, Team Joule participated in the first ever Rappel for Her event in support of Girls Inc of the Pacific NW. We were so excited to participate in the event and honor an organization that is near and dear to our hearts.

Thanks to bounteous donations from friends, family and supporters we were able to raise $3,356 and send three team members Over the Edge.

Erica, Bre and Danielle rappelled 240 feet down the face of the 200 Market building as I cheered them on from below. 240 feet doesn’t seem too tall from the ground, but it certainly feels every inch that high when backing over the edge of a 16 story building! Bre flew down the side like a seasoned pro and Danielle and Erica were right behind her.

While Jamie wasn't able to join us on rappel day (she was facing her own fear of heights on a birthday hot air balloon ride, which scared the bejeezus out of her) she was certainly there in spirit.

Girls Inc was able to surpass their goal of $80,000, which will all go to programming for the strong, smart and bold girls of Girls Inc. We had a great time fundraising as a team and got really into the spirit—so much so that we had Think Joule team jackets made. While it was too hot to wear them on rappel day, you can bet that we'll be sporting them all over town come fall.

A huge, huge thanks to everyone that donated to our team and an extra shout-out to our client, John Russell, who donated the use of the 200 Market building for the event. We are grateful for your support of us and Girls Inc.

Thank you, again, from us!
Jennifer, Erica, Bre, Danielle and Jamie
