Autodesk
Portland based headquarters for some of the most innovative and imaginative software developers for the creative set.
Project Goal
Inspired by Autodesk’s mission and tagline “Make Anything,” and their commitment to integrate into the local vibe of the cities they choose to call home, in collaboration with the amazing design team at Mackenzie, we worked to transform spaces throughout the building with bold graphic installations that represent Oregon and the PNW.
Strategy
We started by developing themes and moodboards for select rooms and spaces throughout the 6-floor project in the former Towne Storage building. The themes helped guide a process in which we identified a variety of iconic landmarks and quirky characteristics that could be woven into custom environmental graphics. Our goal was to create an experience that was distinctly Portland.
Signage
From designing their logo into the lobby entrance, to creating a custom coffee roaster logo for their break room, we were involved in project meetings with the interiors and construction teams to ensure flawless execution.
Deliverables
Schematic design and elevation mock-ups
Print-ready design files
Fabricator selection and coordination
Custom signage
Autodesk brand image selection and integration
Results
Our collaboration with the interiors teams at Autodesk and Mackenzie pushed the themes, palettes and quality of the environmental graphics to create a vibrant and unique work space. Their visionary approach to grounding designs in an authentic reflection of place have resulted in a sophisticated space, full of the characteristics of the city that Autodesk is proud to call home. The brand and vision are beautifully articulated throughout the headquarters, making Autodesk a personal and relatable space for all who enter.
